This "park" would normally only earn 1 star from me but for one thing: it has an insane number of benches. You're not going to believe how many benches this place has. It has like 16 benches and the park is only about a third of a block large. It makes me feel the way I used to feel about crop circles as a kid. Why are there so many benches here? Who put them here? What purpose do they serve and what does it all mean?
It's too bad the ample seating isn't in service of anything. There's nothing to enjoy. You've got Baum's crazy traffic whizzing by on one side, a beautiful view of the Courtyard Marriott hotel on the other, and a church that I've never seen anyone go in or out of. The church is actually very nice looking. But not 16 benches nice. I don't get it.
So I can't recommend that you go out of your way to visit this park. Actually I can't even recommend you go to the park even if it's on your way. Maybe if you're on a run and need a place to rest. Or maybe if you're a guest of the two hotels that neighbor it and want to enjoy "nature." Or maybe if you get into a car accident on Baum and need some place to wait for the tow truck. Otherwise, eh.
