This company did an excellent job for me on a small move from Montreal to California. I dealt with Simon who was the primary liaison. He was professional. He came to the house and made good observations about packing needs. Simon's attitude was "the name of the game is to get you your belongings where you want them in the state they left." One thing that took a little struggle to clarify was the extent of liability if things get lost or damaged in transit. I found this vagueness characteristic of the moving industry as a whole, and wrote off several movers who's attitude was to tell me why it wasn't their role to take any responsibility for a move (they collect your fee, but what - responsible? - oh no, not us). I finally worked this out with John Gray movers and was satisfied that they were going to take reasonable responsibility for the move.
On moving day, two young guys came to do the move. They laid out a red rug so as not to dirty the floor. They both spoke English, which for me was helpful. They packed very well, especially paintings, glassware, china and other fragile items. They were very polite and professional and showed respect to the house. The delivery in California was smooth and the mover unpacked everything well. He was courteous and cleaned up when he left.
I was pleased with John Gray movers and would use them again.
