  • I would give them a 0* if i could. We purchased a Lexus RX this saturday and agreed upon a cash purchase price. We were next directed to see their finance manager who first asked why we would pay cash for this vehicle when they have a lease assist promotion. We even told the finance manager that we thought the price we negotiated was based on cash purchase and he reassured us that this has nothing to do with the lease assist promotion and taking advantage of their lease assist would benefit us a total of ~$1000 after all fees and interested associated with leasing the vehicle. done deal, all contracts signed showing our monthly payments, residual amounts and etc. First thing i do is post to sell my current vehicle online saturday night and its is already SOLD yesterday. Perfect transition until this morning when ROYAL OAK of Lexus tells us there was a mistake on the contract and they cant give us the lease promotion. Even though the mistake is PURELY on their end, they refuse to honour the price that was made. We are talking about ~$1000 extra discount on a $70,500 agreed purchase price of the vehicle, they won't even give us a offer to meet in between. nothing! REALLY? year end is coming and i'm sure there will be better promotions next month or when the 2017s comes in. if this is how they like to do business, there are plenty of options with $70k and definitely they won't earn even $1 of mine. So i know it's pretty hard for customers to back out of a signed agreement unless something really went wrong, but can a dealership back out just like that? Funny to say, this is the 2nd time we had to deal with this sales manager (Farid Shivji) and both times we never end up purchasing a vehicle under the management of this guy. First time was when he was at country hills toyota and we were shopping for a minivan and guess what? we end up getting a honda odyssey instead of the sienna, solely because of the attitude he gave us. I felt bad for the salesperson who worked to earn her business from us, but after meeting Farid, we felt that we did not want give our hard earn money to some manager who thinks he's above an beyond people, rude to his employee and his customers. Before we even started shopping for our vehicle, my husband debated rather we should even go look at the RX at the royal oak location because we found out that he's the director of sales there now. But we did go there just because we live in the NW and it's so much closer. We should have gone to Lexus of Calgary where I purchased my last car from.
