| - Elements has always been such a wonderful place for my husband and I to have a nice night out, we've stayed at the resort, had spa services, many dinners, and loved going to the jade bar for live music and drinks. I always refer friends and family here for dinner. We had such an awful experience yesterday, for father's day, that I don't think I will be wanting to return anytime soon, unfortunately.
Underneath our table, I noticed an extensive amount of food and trash. There was bacon pieces and bread crumbs all over by my feet, and the walk-way to our table had similar trash and crumbs. I counted at least 3 flies on the glass next to our table. We had an 18 month old with us and she dropped her bottle and toys, which I had to retrieve from the filthy ground. Our table was sticky and didn't appear to have been cleaned sufficiently. There was not a table cloth on our table, so it wasn't hard to see the filth on the floor, nor on the walk-way. Yet, I did not see one person on the floor trying to clean anything or apologize for the appearance of the restaurant.
In my opinion, Mcdonalds is a far cleaner and more well kept establishment to have lunch. To spend $80 at lunch and be disgusted with the appearance of the restaurant is unacceptable. If the dining area is this dirty, I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. I never noticed anything like this at night for dinner, but I'm wondering if that is because it is dark and could not see the filth... Well, now it will never be the same for me. For an upscale dinner or lunch, I can recommend several places that actually care about the appearance of their restaurant - Capital Grill, Dominicks, Ocean Club, Flemings, etc.
