  • I love steak but Delmonico Steakhouse was just average. Initially we wanted to celebrate at a different restaurant. They were fully booked so this was pretty much plan b. It was a disappointment. We were about 15 minutes late for our reservation due to waiting for the Uber ride. When we arrived, the ambience was nice. The dim lighting always set the romantic vibe. The decor was fairly plain except the white linen boosted the sophisticated appeal. The maître d' was a bit obnoxious. You would think someone in his role would be a little more friendly. You want your patrons to feel welcomed. Service was not that great. We ordered the ribeye medium rare and it was undercooked. Sending it back would have ruined the steak. At least the meat was tender. The flavor was lacking. We also had three side dishes: creamed corn, garlic sautéed mushrooms, and garlic smashed potatoes. All 3 tasted good. In such a well renowned establishment, steak is expected to be superior. I was not impressed! On our future visit to Vegas, we will bypass this restaurant!!
