  • STAY AWAY STAY AWAY STAY AWAY JUST RUN... I wish I read the reviews...hubby and I go to.the CA state fair. We see their booth that has direct tv flags all over the place. We walk by and a lady stops us asking who is our cable providers. We say direct tv. She then says they can upgrade our equipment. So we stop, HUGE MISTAKE, the guy looks at our account and says he can upgrade our equipment for 50 bucks to the Geanie. So we pay the money, MISTAKE NO2, set up an appt for 7/25 between 8-12. So the day comes, 2 phone calls telling me he's on his way, the guy shows up in his own vehicle, comes into my house tells me he has no more Geanies and direct tv is completely out..WHAT! I waited all day for that. He then says he can hook up better equipment but if I really want the other one, call his friend who is a small owner of direct tv and he can install the Geanie for us. I said no thank you. I'll call direct tv. So I call direct tv, pissed very pissed, and they have no idea what I am talking about! They have plenty of Geanies. So they look.onto my acct, the guy froze it! They can't access it, but after many hours they finally broke thru. So I rescheduled an appt with direct tv. Should have done that in tje beginning. And there is no charge for upgrading my equipment! Look closely at the paper I was given and in BIG letters it says direct tv, small letters this company. I call the number on the bottom, the guy was a real snot nose jerk and says its a processing fee..WHAT! There is NO processing fee from direct tv. I should have run. I call the cell number listed the other snot nose jerk said the same thing and claims they are direct tv, uh no.you are not! I demanded my 50 bucks be refunded he said yes I will but you can't get the upgrade and once he gets confirmation that I canceled I will get a check in 2-4 weeks! So I call direct tv back again, tell them what this jerk said they laughed and they refunded me back the money. They also suggested I contact the DA office which I did got all the info I need to file a report and will be turning this company in. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! STAY AWAY! I HOPE THEY LIKE BEING IN JAIL
