  • Not a big fan of zoos, but I really like this one. Lovely surroundings, animals seem well cared for and everything seems well maintained. If possible, take in any of the zookeeper talks, you will be so impressed by their dedication and passion for their animals. Food in Kitamba cafe is better than most take-out and there are healthy options. If you are visiting from out of town, always check the visit calgary site for zoo package deals. Twice we have stayed in new hotels for reduced rates that included our zoo tickets and this year penguin slippers for the kids.
