Pulling up, the restaurant looks like it could be just another chain like PF Changs or Cheesecake Factory. However, there's a lovely ambiance once you walk in, and perhaps what helped it to stand out was the wide variety of fresh, locally sourced, organic dishes on the menu. We had reservations, which helped make the wait shorter... it was very crowded, always a good sign. Shannon was our server, and she was great; her friendly personality and eagerness to get us whatever we needed helped to enhance our experience. I got the Meyer Lemon Drop drink which was good. For meals, I started with the Butter Lettuce Salad with blue cheese, candied walnuts, apples, and maple vinaigrette. Very tasty and light enough to be an appetizer. For my main dish, I got the Vegetable Pasta. I was apprehensive about the vague "seasonal vegetables" that it came with, but was pleasantly surprised to find butternut squash, mushrooms, and lemony greens. Great flavor and very filling. Both dishes were delicious. Yum! We got dessert to-go as we were all full. The apple crisp and chocolate cake were both great. Give Paul Martin's a try! Not your average American grill.
