| - Such a traumatizing experience. I went to Taylor because of all the amazing reviews on here and her Instagram photos. I complained to her that my hair was falling out like crazy and I already have naturally thin hair, so I needed some sort of extensions to add any type of volume to my hair. She proceeded to aggressively brush my hair and pull and tear at it from all angles! Like I just told you my hair is thinning and that's how you treat it?
Anyway, she recommended halo extensions and I trusted her recommendation so we went ahead and ordered them. She showed me a 15 second video that shows you how quick and easy it is to put them on, but when I came in the week after, it took Taylor a good 5 minutes to literally just clip the 3 clips to my hair. I looked in the mirror and I wasn't happy with how they looked on me at all. Since I have such thin hair, it looked really weird to have these thick locks at the bottom, but almost no hair on the top of my head (ouch). As soon as she let go and started brushing to take a picture, the extensions fell out! That was extremely traumatizing because all I could imagine was walking around campus and my hair falling out on the floor... She didn't say anything and just spent another 10 minutes trying to hold them in in all these different positions that just wouldn't work, and through it all, I looked absolutely ridiculous. The whole process was such a mess. She knew I had thin hair. Why would she recommend these extensions to me? And if I'm complaining about my hair falling out, why would she recommend extensions that literally pull on the little hair I have left and on my head.
When she finally got the extensions to hold, she quickly took a picture and just left me there struggling. My mom tried to help me fix the hair on the top of my head so I wouldn't look so ridiculous. Taylor didn't say anything or even try to help. She didn't say a word through the entire process. Through the two appointments I had with her, whenever I would try to make conversation, she wouldn't really reply back, it's like she didn't take me seriously or she didn't care. I should've went somewhere else then.
She asked us if we wanted a receipt, and my mom said yes, then she said she didn't have one...
I haven't yet mentioned how extremely PAINFUL these extensions were! She just keeps saying "It's a lot of hair and it's gonna take time getting used to." When it's so painful that I can't even focus on driving home (5 minute drive), and I almost crashed because the pain was so distracting. I don't think that's something you can get used to!
When I got home, I realized she didn't teach me how to put them on and take them off, so I literally had my 15 year old brother trying to help me take these things off while I was in so much pain, I just wanted to pull them out. When we finally figured out how to get the extensions off, it felt like they were still in there for the rest of the day.
When I complained to her, she just said "It's a lot of hair! It's going to take time getting used to!" Uh. No, thanks.
She hasn't replied to my last text and still no receipt. I really think this traumatizing experience deserves some sort of compensation.
I really wish my experience were different because I was so excited to finally have thick, long, beautiful hair, but I guess that's not gonna happen. I was so happy and so excited, but what I disappointment: (. I feel like this is the biggest mistake I've ever made. And some people have good experiences, but I have to share mine too. What a waste of time and A LOT of money.
