  • I work in an office with the cheapest, most God-awful floors ever. You can literally hear anyone wearing heels walking from the other side of the building. That's a problem, because I like wearing heels. Until I found Recino's. I bought a pair of shoes from Kohls and didn't notice that the heels were finished with hard cap of material that was downright dangerous. Seriously, these shoes could've doubled for ice skates they were so slippery. After the shop I used to go to closed, I found Recino's on Yelp. He's in a small out-of the way shop across the street from the Lucky Club on Civic Center Drive. It's really neat inside. The walls are lined with cowboy boots of in a rainbow of reptile hides and there is a station for a lady who does alterations. He had a pile of some kind of skins on the counter when I came in, destined for someone's boots, no doubt. Anyhow, he's a very friendly man who greets you as soon as you walk in. I showed him my shoes and he said "no problem" he could fix them. I dropped them off on a Saturday evening just before closing and he called me to let me know that they were ready mid-day Monday. The new heel plate he put on looked as if it had always been there. They are now wonderful. They make NO NOISE and I am a happy camper. His prices are right in line with other shoe repair stores and he's open 7 days so if you need something done give him a try.
