| - I am one of PLRG's Instagram followers and have been meaning to visit to see if this resale shop was as promising as advertised via social media. My first visit to the Arcadia location was unfortunately successful. I say "unfortunately successful" because I've been a regular visitor ever since, to both the Arcadia and Uptown locations. Each time I visit, I find a "must-have" work skirt, or cute summer dress (because summer temperatures in AZ last until November!), or a cosy sweater. I've not had a problem with any staff member; all staff have been friendly and prompt to acknowledge me upon entering the shop.
I've only consigned items one time and wasn't terribly disappointed. One tip: I think that it may help other would-be consigners if staff informed clients of why certain items are accepted. Also, I don't think that PLRG's consignment terms are the most generous, but they set the rules for their shop! (You have the option of taking cash or store credit, the latter being twice as much as the former. I believe that PLRG will now write cheques for payouts greater than $50 for security reasons.)
Make sure to check the dates on the sales tags: older dates -- at least 10 days old -- will often net you a discount. If you are looking for mid-range labels à la Banana Republic, Anthropologie, Lululemon, etc., then check out PLRG. If you find something you like, buy it, because chances are it will not be available the next time you visit!
