  • This circle k is like almost every other location. It's dirty and the employees are not friendly to new customers (not regulars). I went in to buy my 2nd cup of joe this morning but I had to use the restroom. Two employees told me 'it's being cleaned so I don't know how long you'll be waiting'. There inflection indicated I might be waiting for a very long time. It is my experience with Circle K that the restrooms are nearly always closed with signs that just say 'closed for today' or 'no public restroom today' or 'out of order'. In this case, Dez the manager was cleaning but closed the restroom after it was cleaned. In fact because of this I never buy food or extra drinks from circle k. It is fairly disgusting to go in and buy a hotdog without getting to wash my hands first. I work on the road locally and spend at least $50 a week in convenience stores. And it is just too bad I have to actively avoid Circle K because I know they will not be able to accommodate. Starbucks and QT never seem to have this problem- in the same neighborhoods. In fact I have encouraged our entire fleet organization to pay attention and switch to QT. We need to support a business that will allow us to use the restroom and have lunch instead of basically being told to get out as soon as we make our purchases. Having the restroom closed is saying you are not welcome whether you are a customer or not. My advice to the franchise is to not allow franchisees to close the restrooms during the day. If there are too many homeless people squatting in the restroom then that is an issue that I'm sure corporate can come up with some good ideas to ease. Or just stop selling hot food where people cannot wash up and have lunch.
