| - The buffet (like all the buffets in Vegas) is accessible through the casino. We arrived around 10:40am during the week and there was no line at all. We payed less than $20/person and got a little breakfast, lunch and dessert all rolled into one fatty brunch. The breakfast to lunch food flip started happening around 11am.
The breakfast was pretty standard, lots of American options: waffles, omelets, oatmeal, fruit, etc. It seemed like a lot of the breakfast food stations on one side were just a repeat of the other side. Most of my breakfast was lukewarm at best and not all that satisfying.
The lunch food was a better, there was slightly more variety. I was still disappointed with some of the food I got. The lukewarm pizza and the overly bloody prime rib was literally bleeding on my plate. I ended beefing up my plate with mostly seafood and items from the Chinese buffet station where the food was hot and flavorful.
I have a huge sweet tooth, so I had to hit up the dessert counter more than...er, twice. But it was mostly because many of the desserts were individually plated on tiny little plates which made it difficult to hold more than 4 tiny plates in one trip AND I was sharing everything with the hubby, a little. I seriously needed a tray. I was on a mission to try one of everything; apple bars, cheesecake, fudge brownies, carrot cake, eclairs, mousses, chocolate covered strawberries, fruit tarts, crème brûlée, bread pudding, cookies with ice cream, etc. If I would have known I was going to enjoy the desserts so much, I would have held back on the mediocre breakfast and lunch foods and worn my stretchy pants. And yes, I do come up with any excuse to validate my actions to eat an obscene amount of dessert at a buffet. Hands down the best part of the meal, dessert!
