Found this little place by accident after my husband and I took a bike ride near the canals. So very glad we did. Its small and cozy, but oozes family charm. The food takes a little longer to make its way out, but its fresh and home-made so we didn't mind the few extra minutes. My husband ordered the beef tongue, and I ordered the Honduran fried chicken. Oh my.
We both agreed the chicken was the best fried chicken either of us has ever had. Crispy on the outside, extremely moist on the inside. Not sure what spices it was covered with, but delicious whatever they were. My husbands Beef tongue and the stew it was covered in was also incredibly tasty. Large portions, so next time we will probably share one plate. The big thing here are the Pupusas, however we were too stuffed to try them. We will definitely be back to give those a go. The Horchata was different than others I have had, but its also from a different part of the world. I was not disappointed. It had a delicious nuttiness to it.
So nice to have this little place in our area and we will most definitely dine here again.
