| - Took a class here with our run group (RUNishED) and it was my first spin class! Having never done spin/cycle, I really didn't know what to expect! The music was great, and everyone was absolutely lovely, including our instructor Maria. The staff provided us with super cute CycleBar water bottles, towels, shoes, and body wipes (after class). Everything we needed was ready to go when we walked in.
I would say the ambience is unique - it's nice to have it a bit dimly lit so you aren't self-conscious. It's almost like a night club atmosphere! And the water fountain is truly draft beer style, such a great addition to the theme. I did not like the area to get changed/locker area, just because it was so crowded when we were going in as there was another class leaving. The feeling was absolute claustrophobia!
I did enjoy the class, however I did discover that I don't really like spin classes. The portion in the middle of the class when we did what I thought was a cool-down to relax... only to pump it back to full-speed was not my favorite. I was genuinely wanting to be done! :) However, my other friend that has taken CycleBar (other locations) did mention this was something that CycleBar does in all their classes. My favorite part of the workout was actually getting a chance to use the "bar" - I felt like I got a great full-body workout when I left.
Unfortunately, the likelihood of me returning is slim - just because it's on the other side of town. However, it's definitely an experience and a great spin on a regular ride :)
