  • this place is seriously a steal. especially if you get an instant groupon deal. the husband and i paid $12 and some change for 2 lunch buffets! you get a soup, and dessert is included (and do NOT skip dessert!). from what i understand (no one really explained it to us), you can make requests; we asked if they had any pad thai, and she whipped up a huge plate for us! included! i felt like i was at a friend's house, whose Thai mom was wanting to feed us (as all Asian moms are obsessed) with anything and everything she could rustle up from the fridge. she is a sweet, sweet lady, and explained to us that she makes ZERO profit from the restaurant! now..... in comparison with other thai restaurants - i'm pretty sure she makes everything just straight from scratch, and doesn't use msg, so some of the dishes didn't pack as much of a flavor punch (although consider yourselves warned: the curries have a nice heat to them!); but let's be honest - to spend $10, and get a variety of thai curries, soup, dessert, ANNNND order some dishes a la carte, ANNNNNND get to take the leftovers home???? we felt like we were ripping her off. the heavenly dessert ALONE made it feel worth it. NOW. my last note - to the idiot JERK fellow customer who was the only other person dining at the same time as us last Thursday (Feb 16). HOW RUDE of you to demand the owner to make you something with seafood, and then get UPSET at her when she made you all the seafood she had available, because it was combined with chicken (annnnd she repeatedly apologized about it?!?!?!)? AND THEN, to have the audacity to ask for the entire dish to go?!?!? AND THEN, on top of all that, to talk to her like she was a toddler, and tell her to give ALL of your tip to the server, and then to go tell the server to "make sure" he got all of his tip from her, that you charged on your credit card?!?!?! who do you think you are? i wish i had just told you off right then and there. this place is too good for you.
