Step #1: Select your dough (classic, oatmeal or peanut butter). Step #2: Select two mix-ins from a selection of too-many-to-count. Step #3: They easy-bake it and it's done in 2.5 minutes.
The concept of DIY cookies is GOLD but would ultimate fail if they still tasted like ass. I was worried because though the idea of this place is awesome, I didn't want that to blind me in what can potentially be a subpar cookie. Well sirs and madames, the base dough was perfect (classic mixed with my choice of white chocolate chunks and toffee bits). Truly a winning combination if I do say so myself.
Now that we've swooned over the build-your-own-cookie, let's focus on the other aspect that makes this the best bakery experience ever. Who doesn't love cookies fresh out of the freakin' oven?! For me, that idea trumps the build-your-own. Nothing beats a freshly baked cookie that's too hot to bite into* but dammit, I'm going for it!
*I'm pretty sure the staff there actually waits for the cookies to cool slightly before handing them out to their customers. Thanks staff!
