| - Sraff is loud ( spouting off personal medical insurance info at front desk despite then asking you to sign that YOU understand your rights under HIPPA!) They may need or want this sensitive info for a valid reason but no one ever said that the office must ask for this identifiable medical information the way that they do it. They could turn the computer screen to you, write it down or something else. Screaming ( Mr. X is it true you have this/that insurance and you live at this address..etc?"
Also, wait times can be bad. One office staff told me that doctors run over all the time so it's normal! Really? People, it's a business like an airline. When the airline overbooks your flight they have to remedy that if you were previously charged and booked on that oversold flight. The physicians are all trained the same anyway and so long as they passed the qualifying tests (board certified) they are virtually the same. There's no monopoly on knowledge. They're on every street corner from here to Canada to Mexico in North America just selling a service tgat they all can do. Does anyone even ask if the physician is boarded in a specialty area anymore? No, we just accept without questioning. My time is extremely valuable to and if you book me to see you at 2pm; lets not assume that 3:30 is fine, too! If I liss an appointment with you and do not notify you with 24 hrs advanced notice, your office wants to charge me! Please, yup, it's just a business like a store. Selling services.
Staff is dismissive of your concerns stating by stating, Dr says this or Dr says that, as if God spoke and you have no say in the matter because you are neither.
I had specials words for this office, " You're fired!" I can get one of a dozen physicans board certified in this area to service me. Simply fee for service arrangement so when will the public recognize this power and fact?
