  • On one hand, I'm happy that a former movie theater site has made an interesting transformation. It's much better to serve a purpose than sit empty. As with all flea markets, it's a crap shoot. However, I leave this place empty handed more often than not. Most flea markets in the Pittsburgh area are far superior to this place in size, selection and organization. Indoor vendors remain relatively static. There's your standard household products, plastic wrapped baked goods, sports memorabilia, etc. There are a few more unique places, like a duffel bag vendor and area rug vendor, that kind of stand out among the others. I'm usually in search of vintage household items, collectibles, and clothing. This isn't the place to look, in my opinion. Some (not all) of the indoor theater screen vendors seem messy and disorganized. The step ups are awkward in those theater spaces too, so watch for that. Outdoor vendors vary week to week depending on weather and time of year. This area is probably your best bet to pick up unique finds. As an occasional visitor I'm always hoping there's more. I'm usually let down.
