| - Please believe the recent bad reviews. I had good service from them previously with suits, slacks, dress shirts, comforters, etc. But had not used them for a few months. I took my wedding dress in for steaming, and it came back with wrinkles and varied-colored lint/debris. Appears that quality control was missing. With the same transaction, I had another dress that had hand-sewn jewelry. It was agreed upon that the dress was to be steamed only as dry cleaning would most likely damage the jewelry. The dress appeared to have been dry cleaned as the makeup on the inside of the dress was gone and the jewelry was tangled, resulting in lumps of jewelry.
I asked for the manager, who via phone to the store worker authorized $20 off. My issue was that the authorized services were not provided or quality checked. I expected the manager to want to solve this problem. I had no issue with leaving the garments for them to be evaluated by management upon her return in the morning. There was only 1 day turn around, and it was reasonable if more time was needed. This was not an option. When I asked to speak to management over the phone about my concerns, I was not able to get one word in. Supposedly, she was tired of dealing with this "money issue." Various expletives were used to get her point across. Though I was not charged for the "service," I would caution against bringing any delicate garment to this establishment. I hope I am able to retrieve my last dress (final transaction that was sent to their other location for service) that will not be ready for a couple more days without any hiccup. Fingers crossed.
Update 3/12/16:
So I tried on my other "normal" dress that I had dry cleaned with the above transaction. It had holes, approximately 5. Interestingly, I had just picked up my dress from my tailor (valentina) the day prior to me getting it dry cleaned. 100% it did not have holes. Thankfully, Valentina is stitching up the bigger hole. It appears that whatever machine setting was used was too hot. I'm glad this type of damage did not happen to my more expensive dresses. But it is a lot for every piece to have issues. Once again, I never had any concerns with my previous services. But, I hope that those that continue to use this business do not have any of these things happen. Good luck!
