  • We took some out of state friends to Scottsdale on to show them around. We decided on renting bikes to get around quicker which was awesome. Of course due to all of the activity we were very parched. We ended up at Olive & Ivy. We were greeted with a smile and seated shortly thereafter. It was a busy late afternoon on a Saturday but they were able to accommodate us on the patio. We ordered drinks and a few flatbreads with a salad to share us. The drinks came out quickly and were very thirst quenching. Our friends had white wine, my husband a beer and I the Grapefruit Mojito which was outstanding. The Braised Short Rib flabread and Pesto Chicken flatbread were a hit but I really enjoyed the Chopped Chicken Salad. We had a very pleasurable experience and would highly recommend to anyone. The only crappy thing (literally) was that my husband was between the umbrellas and there are a lot of trees/birds. Unfortunately he was bombed twice but he was a good sport and allowed us to laugh at his expense. I was smart and sat under the umbrella. LOL We mentioned it jokingly to our waitress in passing which we honestly wasn't expecting anything to be done about it . However the manager came out shortly thereafter and profusely apologized. We weren't complaining about the incident to receive anything in return but they took off my husbands drink as a courtesy. It is so nice to know that there are places out there that employ individuals that really care about service. I truly appreciate the care not only our waitress took but management to approach our table to apologize. Great Job! Needless to say we will enjoy the patio again but my husband and I will probably compete with sitting under the umbrella for protection.
