  • Okay, so Wind Mobile went from the awesome wind of a flying-high kite to the wind of a nasty heifer's flatulence. It's got great deals for the sort of shoddy quality you get. The reason I got a phone number this summer in Toronto was because I wanted data services with reliable a GPS to help me navigate around Ontario. Guess what failed out of all of them? The GPS. Wind told me that it was my phone - but the minute I crossed back over to the all-free, all-beautiful United States, the GPS kicked back up on T-Mobile's 3G network. (I have an unlocked Android, trust me, it's not the phone.) I did, as a result of not having basic 2011 technological services, manage to become a master of navigating my way around Toronto. Once, I went from Yonge and Eglinton to Lakeshore and Bathurst in record time during a complete subway outage. It also doesn't allow you to top-up online with a credit card unless your credit card is registered at a Canadian address. What the fuck, Wind Mobile? Ever heard of globalization? And the worst thing? After giving my phone number out to everyone and printing it on my business card alongside my Denver number, Wind Mobile decided that unless I continue to pay $50+ a month for services I won't need until December, I've lost the number and my account. As shitty as T-Mobile in the States can be, it at least let me put my services on temporary hiatus for a mere $10/month while I was in Toronto. So suck it, Wind Mobile. You've already lost three customers after I told them to look elsewhere. And just for the record - the eco-friendly wind mill off the Gardiner Express has more class than you.
