| - GO. That's all I want to say. Go to the Downtown Container Park. If you're on Fremont visiting the casinos you're literally just a five minute walk away. It's on Fremont and 7th can't miss it. The nicest people working here, it's SAFE, FUN, and there's something for everyone! Art, Shops, Restaurants, Bars, a Playground, Movie Nights, Concerts you name it it's here! Tons to see and do at the Container Park. It's clean, safe, fun, so creative and original! This is a kid friendly park, if you see any trouble get a security guard.
If you're down at the Container Park you should also check out Writers Block on 10th and Fremont for neat reads and cool chatchkis. Also there's a podcast called Downtown Podcast which is really fun too.
The energy and love at the Downtown Container Park makes me want to move Las Vegas. I love the up and coming vibe. Really fun and inspiring. You won't be able to miss it because of the giant praying mantis in the front. I love the playground, sounds weird, but it's adult size! The giant slide was closed when we went, but it's huge. I'll have to come back and get a better look at the shops and restaurants. Worth a visit, I hope you find yourself at the Container Park.
Tips: It's safe as in they have security guards checking drinks and making people drink it or trash it before entering. It becomes 21 and up after 9pm. The security guards are locals who love their city, they are sincere good citizens who are really nice and just want to maintain a cool laid-back environment. Due to the fact that they are close to the wilder side of Fremont they have security on premises at all times to make sure no rowdy people come in.
