A colleague of mine is getting ready to retire, and she did not want a lot of fuss for her retirement party. She's also a tequila lover, so what better way to send her off than to have a fiesta!
Event planning at Cantina 1511 is pretty seamless. All of their options are posted online, and they offer invoice billing and tax exempt, which is so helpful when you work in the nonprofit sector. They even offer gluten free options as part of their event menus!
We used the private room in the back of the restaurant, which was free to use for a lunch event. It is well sectioned off and is truly private, but it is not a separate room so you do hear noise from the restaurant crowd. No biggie to our group!
The food and service were terrific. We had a set menu with four entree options as well as salsa, chips, and guacamole for starters. The guacamole is clearly freshly made in house. It was delicious! I split an enchilada with chicken and spinach as well as tacos carne de asada with a coworker, and both were equally good. I also appreciated that our server did not rush us and kept pace with our group as needed.
