This place sucks!
Being as I visited the city of Toronto for the second time in my life, I went up here for a Labor Day Getaway. Being as my friends and I are from NY it was a long journey especially in traffic.
Supposedly this place is known for their egg rolls although they do make other pastries as red bean cakes and little custard cakes as you can see when they are making the batter.
A friend of mine who really loves the egg rolls from this place wanted to get some and bring them home cause she loves them as a snack. Lo and behold they could not give more than 1 pack to her which I would say holds about 8. Mind you this is after my friend has a rather sad look on her face and they felt bad for her.
The main reasons I complain about this place are:
1. They are totally rude giving attitude and a "who gives a Sh*t?" attitude.
2. They state no pre-ordering on a sign I saw in the front but yet they take orders days in advance and dont allow people who are willing to buy right there and then to get any.
3. They keep at lest 60 egg rolls out in the open but they cant be sold as they are for pre-orders. Why keep them out? Why not package them and save them for the people that ordered them? Its just a tease for them to bring people who want them to the store maybe to eat some other crap they sell.
Like I said it was a long journey up and my friend looked forward to them. If this was a place in NYC it would of been out of business a long time ago. How you cant keep up with demand when you have a hot item ill never know. Just stay away cause chances are you will get attitude and no egg rolls anyway. If they had a email address I would of let them have a piece of my mind!
