| - What an awesome Super Supper event at Green Tea restaurant. As a first time elite yelper, I was nervous attending the event, but everyone was so friendly and nice, and when the food arrived our stomachs and cameras were ready.
This is my first time visiting this restaurant and upon walking in, I liked the traditional decor of the restaurant. It would be a cool place to bring out-of-town relatives to try based on the ambiance of the restaurant. Many of the dishes were served in a cast iron plate with a candle under it. I'm not sure if it really kept the food warm, but it was a nice touch.
The food and service as others mentioned was great. My favourite dishes were the pea sprouts in golden soup, the deep fried spare ribs with minced garlic, and the dongpo pork. The fatty part of the dongpo pork was delicious, it melted in your mouth but the meat part was a little stringy and dry. I decided to try another piece closer to the middle and it was still a little on the drier and chewy side. The flavours of the deep fried spare ribs was what I liked the most, it had a slight honey garlic flavour, yet it was also smoky, which made it interesting. The pea sprouts in golden soup was not salty and was a nice balance to the other flavourful dishes.
Thank you Kris & Green Tea Restaurant for giving us the oppurtuntiy to attend this great event!
