Had a little time to kill before heading to the Nail Experts (located in same shopping center), so decided to check out the delicious baked goods (especially the pan de elote Antonia R. posted awhile ago). The place was packed at 10am on a Saturday but the line moved fast so I didn't mind the wait. Picked up a pan de elote (Mexican cornbread custard texture) and cheese cake for $1.99 & 2 scoops of the fresh skinnier chicharrones (fried pork skins) about $3.89 for the bag. The Pan de elote didn't disappoint, it was so tasty. It reminded me of my Filipino childhood, eating this dessert called Blanco de Mais. The cheesecake was good, not so sweet & fluffy. The chicharrones was so yummy, airy, crunchy, and didn't break any teeth cause I've had some that were pretty hard at other Mexican grocery stores lol (chicharrones taste even better dipped in Apple Cider vinegar) I would come back again to pick up some ingredients for my fresh tamales, and maybe eat at the cafe because the food looked and smelled good plus was reasonably priced!!!
