  • Played Aliente' on 10/16/2014, we had a group of 10. Staff, very attentive and respectful. right on top of the Bag Drop, got our clubs put on carts for us, directed us to the range and drove us out to the first tee, started on10 that day. The drive from Downtown, was not too long, 25 minutes or so. Tee Times were 12:30-12:50. Twilight rate was $45 dollars. I travel to Las Vegas multiple time a year, Specifically come to las vegas in October to play golf. I did not even know Aliente casino existed and it looked like a nice play to stay if you are not into the hustle and bustle of strip or the prices. Aliente is coming out of the overseed and the contrast between the bermuda Grasses and the overseed was nice looking, the front dest was open about the conditions and due to the time of year, and the price of the couse, my expectations were tempered. I played 3 courses on this trip, Bears's best, Aliente and the Desert course in Primm. This couse was in the best condition of all 3 and 2/3 rd to 1/2 as expensive as the other 2. The club house and restaurant are not huge, the offerings were fine, prices were fair. The bathrooms on the course are locked to keep people from the residential area from using them (each cart is equipped with the keys to the restrooms) and each cart is equipped with a GPS unit and commercials between some of the holes. They layout of the course was good, It is in a residential area, houses are very close to the edges of fairways so if you spray the ball, they will definitely come into play. I lost one ball on this course and was due to an arrant shot over a house on the right of a par 5 on the front side. I am a scratch golfer and played from the tips, course was not too long and offered many options per hole. The greens ran true and were not too slow despite the obvious overseed, The 8th green was the best green on the course, so when all the greens return to atleast that condition, this course would make a great round for anyone to play. Pace of play was what I would expect for a course at that time. This course is managed by Troon and they have a time par of 4 hours... we did not make it in that time, but rarely had any issues with other groups. It was a warm day, the course had ample water and Wendy (the beverage cart) was around enough where you did not have to go too long between drinks. (it took longer for me to get drinks at some casino's than it did here).. a bucket of 6 beers for 15 bucks....2.50 a beer... Hello, I think I will. This course has the layout and the staff to make this a great golf course and it is knd of a hidden gem..... Only go to Aliente if you want to play a great layout, be treated well and not be charged inflated prices. I will definelty not hesitate to make it back out to this course.
