| - Two notes:
1. This is a review of a non-sushi item, so while my personal experience was 2-stars, I am giving a one star bump for the possibility that they offer a better sushi experience.
2. I only recently learned that 808 is a Hawaii area code. Previous to this discovery I had been thinking "boom like an 808."
Now, for the review:
While I do occasionally go for AYCE sushi, I am not a sushi fanatic. I wasn't raised on seafood, so I have to be in a special mood to order AYCE sushi. When I went to 808, I was not in that mood, so I ordered chicken yakisoba and a house salad instead.
The server forgot my house salad, so no information there. However, I was not a fan of the noodles. There were slim pickins when it came to vegetables, and the chicken was not my favorite. It had a flavor that I refer to as "chickeny chicken," which I understand really makes no sense, but it is an artificial, perhaps frozen, chicken taste. I ended up piling all of my chicken in a corner of the plate and simply eating the noodles.
I guess the lesson learned is skip the noodles at a place known for AYCE sushi.
