Sadly I am not able to give this establishment "MOBIL MATRIX REPAIR" a good review. We own business's and have lived here for well over 30 years and never dealt with a business owner NOT capable of dealing with a simple customer service dilemma.
We have used other Mobile repair business's previously until we fell into a dilemma with a "battery issue" (the phone worked when we gave it to Apple) and stopped in to have Apple check it over. They took the phone and said it might take a few hours (no biggie it was very busy so we understood it would take a while)- Apple apparently opened the phone and then said when they opened the phone "the phone crashed" and they couldn't fix it nor could they turn get it to turn back on - WTH?? - they suggested we purchase a new phone. The phone was working fine when we left it with the exception of the battery not charging correctly? - needless to say Apple reluctantly made good on that day and gave us a new phone - free.
Now back to Matrix Mobile Repair. I met Zack (the owner at Matrix Mobile Repair) while visiting another vendor next door - walked into his establishment and was greeted by him and found him to be very pleasant at the time which I will get in to greater depth, later. I explained our situation and having yet another phone with a cracked screen (we do have 5 members in our family - stuff happens) that needed a screen repair and asked how much would it cost me? Zack said "$120.00 with a screen protector and his word he will take care of us should we ever need anything" and they do it rather quickly (very appealing after spending hours at Apple with the other phone). Zack assured me Apple would not decline servicing our phone after altering it, in fact, now they state "it depends on who you talk to at APPLE"?? - what? I should have known better and ask for better details on exactly what it means because apparently Zack's word means NOTHING. A few days went by and I went back to the store with my son, and this time Zack was not there. I told the staff member I met with the owner and he was very friendly and assured me Apple would not refuse to repair my phone and I have my son as a witness the day I took in his phone and he said "yeah you shouldn't have a problem at all". I don't recall the gentlemen's name at the time but he took our phone and called me one hour later to pick up our phone. I thought wow!! -- this is great! ... It looked great! It worked great until this past week (for no other reason) - 5 months later the bottom screen started scrambling - no damage to the phone at all, in fact it looks brand new. When trying to log in with the password the phone would type other letters and after multiple times it disabled the phone. At this point the phone is "disabled" until a restore is done - Took it to APPLE and they refused to touch the phone - they took one look at it and said they cannot provide a diagnostic test to the phone after a third party cell repair altered it. Called our service provider (expert team) and they suggested restoring the phone as well or going back to the person that repaired it to begin with. We tried hooking the phone up to a desk top and it sends back an error message as if it can't read it. Unfortunately this is when Zack failed at being a stand up business man, he wouldn't call me back and his staff FINALLY tried to make it right by doing a diagnostic test on it, and yes because I stated it was the least they could do - ZACK was called by the staff member to let him know, and intervened at this time and then finally called me, after failing to do so for the past 5 days - yelled over me telling me telling how ridiculous and what a LIAR I am and to get my IPhone - he refuses to provide a diagnostic test on it, then proceeds to tell me he called the police for harassment (that's funny he called me on my phone and proceeds to YELL over me)... so I CAUTION you... if you need a simple repair to a cracked screen on your IPhone do it with caution because MATRIX will insist they didn't have any thing to do with phone not functioning in the future as will Apple and when you tell them APPLE won't touch it...they argue they don't have to do anything for you because they don't warranty after 60 days and "it depends on who you get at Apple??" and once again I am lying about Apple refusing to service our phone- are you kidding me? Since when does a billion dollar company decide when they work with one person vs another? Buyer Beware!!!
