  • Oh Excalibur This place sucks! Such Woodness! Please DON'T come hither!!!! I tried coming here over the weekend. The last time I was here it was maybe 15 years ago. Prior to that, it was another 10 years ago. Both times back in the day, I would say it was ok although I had a horrendous memory of its buffet back in the day. Now, it was horrendous experience throughout. I booked this place only because I exchanged MyVegas points (game from Facebook) for a night here. And since it was the under bonus days, I got the wife to book for the other night. So I had it for one night, she had it for another. Confusing as it was, we had to book it together at the same time but we had to put in our MLife number and CC as well. When we checked in, we had to spend almost 40 minutes just to make sure it was linked so that we don't check out and then had to recheck in the day after. Also the keys had to work so that it won't lock us out the day after. At the check in desk, I even tried the $20 trick. http://thetwentydollartrick.com/ It did NOT work. I believe I had a worker who did not know what she was doing. (Hence the 40 minute wait) She never took the money and mentioned she had no rooms available. She asked me if I wanted a high floor and a view I replied yes. We ended up in a room on floor 20, semi close to the elevator with no view What's worse, we had to come down to the line again and wait another 30 minutes because the other key did not work. See, did I tell you that I had just the wrong person??? The room itself was okay, the AC is slightly loud, the walls are thin. There is no fridge which I would've love to have but I think it was $20 extra a night for it. The POOL here was probably the best experience I had here. It had music, but not crazy loud like the pool at the MGM. There were no drunk ass, fraternity looking, trouble makers. There is, however, just a small area for kids. While sleeping here, we had some knucklehead knock on our door at 4am and yelled Security. We clearly had our "Do not disturb" sign out but that didn't work. The second night we left the sign out and even though there was no knocking, our sign strangely disappeared. While playing here, I dropped a couple of Benjamins and asked to see if I can get some comped breakfast. I had to wait 30 minutes for a printout which I never got and was told to come back in the morning at 8am which was about 4 hours later. I came at 8am and found a pit supervisor and then was told that Johnny Rockets was NOT linked to the hotel's system and they couldn't give me a voucher. Rediculous right? The ventilation here is horrible, if you're sensitive to smoke don't bother coming here. They also have these people trying to pressure to sell you these timeshares which gives more negative image for this place. The dungeon fun place is a glorified chuck e cheese. When I went at 6pm, most game booths were not open. The only good thing is that I just had to pay for the taxes for both nights which equates to about $40. But with my losses here, it was a lot more. Parking here sucks. If you're at tower two , it's best to park outside at the lot closest to Tropicana. If you're at tower one, then you would either valet or park at the structure or the lot closest to the employee entrance. All the handicap parking are always full here. Even the ones by the front and inside the parking structure. I'm so NOT coming back. This was probably one of the worst hotel experiences I've had in Vegas.
