We just took our two granddaughters on the December 22 Holiday Lights Tour. Our driver was nice and we have no issues with her.
Our complaint is the actual tour. The description of the tour was as follows: Board the bus and you will be driven to three neighborhoods to view lights. At each stop you get a chance to get out and walk around for approx. 20 minutes, then you're onto the next stop. Which sounded delightful for our granddaughters.
It was a 30 minute ride to the first stop which was the Mormon temple...where does this qualify as a neighborhood? Getting into the parking lot took forever and then we were told we had 30 minutes to view the decorations. This place was mobbed, the decorations were garnish and we got turned around, and we were worried we'd miss the bus. We finally got our bearings but the crowds were thick and most of the people were just rude. P.S. it was the only place for bathrooms.
We get to the next stop which is a beautiful Cul-de-sac. But we only had 20 minutes for this venture. More time was needed and, in my opinion, time was wasted at the temple.
From there we just drove through neighborhoods, no getting out so we couldn't always see the decorations, and then onto the expressway back to Tempe Marketplace.
We purchased discounted tickets through Amazonlocal.com, for only $89/for four and grateful we did so. Otherwise this cost $50/pp!!
