Booked a room online for one night. The website makes this hotel seem very nice. It looks like it may have been at one point. The hotel décor is....well its a mix of things. Kinda art deco in the lobby but has Chinese prints in the elevator. All of which are in need of repair/cleaning.
This is the type of hotel i'd pay $65 for a night cause I need a place to crash cause i'm too drunk to drive home. Not the kind of hotel i'd pay $166 a night for. The room that they put us in was musty. The carpet was dirty and there were holes in the wall. Oh and the chair in the room was torn. I was too bewildered to take pics. I sooo wish I had.
When I explained to the employees that the room looks nothing like the hotel he stated "You paid for an entry level room." I'm sorry but for $166 a night expect a clean room! I'm not expecting a suit but don't talk to me like i'm a child. I've stayed in hotels in Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, NYC and all over Florida and I've never had to wait as long as I did to check in.
Also no where on their site does it state that they are under construction. So their parking lot was closed and I had to park in an adjoining lot and ended up paying $48 to stay over night. I asked several people about the parking situation (and other guests were asking me) and no one seemed to know anything.
Overall the room that they switched us to was OK. The bed was clean and comfy and the room its self decent. Except even in the new room the showerhead was moldy and the stopper didn't work. I was too fed up dealing with them that I just stuffed a towel in the drain so I could get a bath. No way was I going to use the shower.
Never. Again.
