I was shopping at this store today and was shocked and extremely disappointed when I found that they had not one single pair of women's pants larger than a size six. Not. One. They have a range of men's sizes but are apparently not willing to sell pants to women who aren't skinny. The average woman wears sizes 12-14. I wear a ten. I am not "plus size" (not that they shouldn't stock "plus" sizes!). I've never not been able to find pants that aren't my size at any store. When I confronted one of the employees and told him how completely disappointed I was, he said that they just get whatever comes in and don't have that much control over the sizes... But what the hell. What store can't get AVERAGE sizes in? No other thrift shop I've gone to in this city seems to have that problem. It is obviously something they have done intentionally. I had picked out a bunch of men's button ups that I liked and probably would have spent over $50 but I was so shocked and disgusted that this store is unwilling to stock women's clothing that would fit my thinner-than-average-but-apparently-too-fat-to-be-worth-the-sale body that I just left, almost on tears.
To anyone bigger than a size six: don't waste your time.
To anyone who loves and appreciates women larger than a six: vote with your dollars and spend your money elsewhere.
