I was referred to Dr. Rosenman by my medical doctor for an evaluation. When I made the appointment, I made sure that it would be with Dr. Rosenman, not a
nurse's assistant or counselor. I read the bad reviews here on Yelp before going, but I decided to form my own opinion. After doing the paperwork, I was told I would be seeing a nurse's assistant as Dr. Rosenman was in meetings all day. I told them that was not what I had been led to believe and that I needed to see the Doctor. I was asked to pay $160 something--when I told them about my insurance, they brought it down to $120 something and I disagreed and they took my other insurance and told me there would be no charge (I felt like if I kept going, they would owe ME;-) but I would have to come back the following morning to see Dr. Rosenman. By now I had been there an hour ( A girl in the waiting room told me sometimes she had to wait up to four hours to see anyone). The receptionist was extremely haughty and full of herself and she talked to me like I was beneath her. I returned the next day, saw the doctor who kind of gave me a textbook diagnosis of bipolar and doubled my dosage of Lamotrigine which I was already taking. I tried to get a copy of his report and was given a complete runaround by the receptionist who was vague and then vaguer about how I would actually get the report (call Shawn T, well Shawn T. doesn't answer his phone or return a call). I don't give up easy (as you can see) and I will probably pursue the report. Take a deep breath before you step into this office--you'll need all the stamina you can muster to deal with this foolishness.
