Worth the trek to see this market! We Bixi biked here and from Parc Fontaine, the bikes lanes make this farmers market easily accessible. I loved that the produce all looked super fresh and you could try the fruit before buying it.
The market mostly sells fruits and veggies but they do have the odd egg, meat and flower stalls as well. All the prices are quite reasonable and I definitely wanted to buy a pot of basil that just looked super healthy unlike the pot I have at home (tips on growing basil anyone?).
The market also has food stalls -- we ate at a pizza place (c15) that sold $5 slice pizza which was so good but they also had cheese places, crepes, tacos and smoothie stalls. This was definitely a better bang for buck.
If I lived in Montreal, I definitely would come here more often but as a visitor, I'm glad I saw and ate while I was there since we got to pick up some produce for our picnic.
Also, the first Apple stall sells 375ml Apple juice for $1 and it's SUPER GOOD. I definitely would return to buy a larger bottle.
