  • Rao's has several dinning rooms in sort of a circular arrangement. Our dining experience was in the room adjacent to the Caesars Pool & Gardens. This room is bright as it has many windows . The other dining rooms are interior and do not have windows and a dark atmosphere. We arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation time. The hostess checked us in, asked to be seated in the vestibule and stated that we would be seated at our reservation time. The dining room was not very busy and we were seated at a nice table adjacent to a window overlooking the pool and gardens. Our server Matt was friendly and attentive. He was very familiar with the menu and provided us with a description of the specials and some recommendations. Follow up though out was timely. A starter was an order of baked Little Neck Clams. Six clams topped with bread crumbs and oregano and served with a wedge of lemon. Overall they were very tasty but one was chewy. The meatballs are listed as a side but the order of two is more than enough as an entree. The Meatballs are made with Ground Veal, Pork and Beef, Italian Breadcrumbs and Seasonings in a wonderful Marinara Sauce. The order of buttery mashed potatoes was also enough for two people. The OssoBuco, Braised Veal Shank Veal Jus, Gremolatta, served over Saffron Risotto is one of the best in town. The OssoBuco is a complete meal in itself, no other sides required. Desert must wait for a return visit.
