| - We had planned on buying a washer and dryer, which was on sale at another place. But since we had to go to the airport, we thought we'd stop at Fry's and see if they had the same pair. To my surprise, their regular price was the same as the sale price at the other store. We were even able to negotiate a discount, making it an even better deal, though we might have been able to get the same discount at the other one. But Fry's agreed to move and hook up our old, but working, units at a condo that has a broken dryer, for a very small fee.
It would have been a quick and pleasant transaction, except that our very nice salesman, Rey, couldn't get their printer to work. It was a very old printer - doesn't Fry's know that they sell printers??? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot! It wasn't Rey's fault, and he made a valiant effort until finally things got printed, but if a company can't keep their own equipment up-to-date from their own inventory, they're not getting a 5-star rating.
The other fly in the ointment is that the items aren't in stock, and need to be shipped to them from California, where most, or all, of their stores are. It could take as much as two weeks. We're not in a big rush, except for the guy whose dryer isn't working, but I hope I won't have to update this review if everything doesn't go as planned. Keeping my fingers crossed.
