I felt like EDC was much better when it was hosted in LA...
My days of raving are over. It seems as though these "music festivals" are geared towards kids up to their early 20's. Any older and it just looks plain creepy- You know what I'm talking about if you have gone and seen that 40 year old branding glowsticks galore and swaying to the beat by themselves.
It is much too dry to have a rave in the middle of the desert. Let's not kid ourselves, we all know that a small percentage of attendees are sober. A mix of mdma and the dry desert heat does not make a good combo. AND, They charge water bottles at 5/7 dollars.
It's over cramped and crowded with poor cell phone reception. Don't even bother trying to use your phone if you are separated from your group, you need to have a planned place to meet in case it happens- and it does.
OVERALL: It's a great place to be if you are in your late teens with great music.
It becomes overrated after a while.
