  • Calling this restaurant a, "hidden gem" sounds cliche, but this is truly one of those places. A hearty breakfast and brunch spot located in an industrial area, you definitely want to keep your eyes open for Mr. Mama's while driving on Decatur. Their menu offers familiar breakfast and brunch options with an excellent selection of omelettes to choose from. In addition to their standard menu, there are also specials. I ordered the double chocolate chip pancakes stack without powdered sugar and butter. Along with the pancakes are eggs done your way, and a beverage. The pancakes are huge, and I love the crunchiness of the chocolate chips. As for my scrambled eggs, they were delicious and legit. None of that powdered box crap "eggs" are served here. Service was with a smile, plus it was quick. My friend and I arrived just before the long lines formed, but still had to wait. However, we were seated within 10 minutes. Our food also arrived shortly after placing our orders. Speaking of lines, do expect to wait. Satisfying and affordable, Mr. Mama's is a fine place for breakfast and brunch.
