Definitely a fad/novelty to just simple scooped ice cream! You pay more for the "wow" factor or experience. It's interesting to watch, but the time and money spent there is not quite worth it. A small is $5.99 with no toppings! I went with my sister and her two kids (my nephews were begging to take me there...so cute!) so we ordered 5 cups! It took a while to complete our order, so much so that my sister and I were starting to crack jokes about how the workers must not want to come to work and must look at the line to avoid large families or groups by "conveniently" washing their hands or taking a bathroom break in hopes another worker will have to assist the large group! LOL! It looks strenuous and a lot of work for a small cup of ice cream...poor workers! I bet the turnover of employees is high there!
In any case! The ice cream was enjoyable! I ordered the mint chocolate chip which had a very slight hint of mint....not what I'm really used to when eating mint chocolate chip ice cream but it was still good. I took a bite of my nephew's cookies and cream and my sister's rocky road ice cream...both were good as well!
I probably wouldn't come here often unless I had children of my own who were begging me and then only would I go if they got good grades or earned it. I, personally, enjoy traditional ice cream, milk tea, or a shake better!
