rev:text	It doesn't matter what you choose from this seasonally changing menu. Everything is amazing. The fall menu had just arrived so there are more comfort food items to choose from as the weather cools. As an entree I took the razor clam, dungeness crab and sea urchin plate. It was dabbled with dashi gelée and an avocado roll with shima aji. Wow! Light and fresh. Also tried the terrine de foie gras which was surprisingly light as well but still rich. Accompanied by a Pinot noir it went down very easy. For the main meal I had the homemade pasta with lamb shoulder. This is comfort food at its finest. Braised vegetables and fall off the bone meat I was in heaven. My partner had the potato gnocchi with lobster. I found the lobster perfectly cooked but an odd contrast with gnocchi. The sauce that was poured on it was an elegant maitake mushroom,leek an coral emulsion that on its own would have been a soup I'd pay for. I spooned every last drop. So elegant and flavours you've never tasted married together before. You can't resist desert at Maison Boulud... we tried the chocolate salted caramel lava cake that was so rich, I couldn't finish it. I tried! The other desert was a light strawberry pistachio limoncello baba with a scoop of basil sorbet that was to die for. Obviously you can't eat here everyday unless you're super wealthy, but for a special occasion, you must try it. The bill for 2 is half a G, but I'm not complaining... I'm just sad I can't eat here once a week.
