A fun place to fatten yourself in a meal full of foie gras! There's a whole section in the menu dedicated to just foie gras dishes! Do try the foie gras poutine as a starter to share for $23 or better yet, get the "foie gras duo" for $51 which is a bison burger and foie gras and balsamic reduction and a half order of the foie gras poutine. Extremely decadent duo but great if you want some burger and fries and a whole lot of foie gras!
The duck in a can $43 is another must and yes, the dish comes out of a can that is opened in front of you. It comes with a duck breast with 100 grams foie gras, balsamic reduction, buttered cabbage, roasted garlic and thyme. Extremely rich but worth trying. The duck was extremely tender. The whole dish is very brown with more brown so it's hard to see what you're eating.
Service is extremely prompt and friendly with lots of knowledge on the food and wine.
Bathroom is located at the back and one behind the bar counter (weird spot). Not a fan of the soap they use....hate actual bar soap in public places as it feels pretty nasty especially this bar of soap as it was one of those natural soaps with lots of tree branches and such embedded in it. ew.
Nonetheless, fantastic over the top foie gras eatery that's a must try if you're in Montreal.
