  • The lady that works behind the counter is very rude and easily confrontational, not surprised she was mentioned in a previous comment. She worked at the same location when it was the Inner Sleeve. I will not be returning to this store, she tells me I am not a loyal customer and that I've only spent $58.00 at this store, what a slap in the face. I have been shopping at this location since the take over and was only asked once for my information so not sure where she is coming up with $58.00. I am not a 'Record Store Day Collector', I am an avid collector and have been buying consistently for 16 years. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on records and will most likely never return after my experience this week. I pulled out a jazz record that was listed for $60.00, I asked the lady if they would accept $30.00 for the record, she said she would check with the owners and get back to me. After 48 hrs with no response, I called the shop to enquire and she was very rude telling me that they have in fact doubled the price of this record. Never once did I say I wasn't interested in buying the record, I was simply trying to negotiate which isn't uncommon when you're dealing records. This record had been collecting dust on their shelves for over 3 years, she has no idea what the record is, basically put in a search on discogs and ups the price to $100.00. If they want to lose a loyal customer and I will absolutely not recommend this store to anybody as there are many great shops in Calgary including Record Land, Black Byrd, Sloth, Melodia, Heritage Records, etc. If you want my business back, I'll take the record for $60.00, otherwise you've lost a another customer and I will see you at your blow out sale when you go out of business within the next 2 years, greed and poor customer service won't get you anywhere, especially during these economic times.
