| - Place is definitely gorgeous inside and out, but sadly fell very short every where else.
I came on a Tuesday by myself because I was considering it as a wedding venue and just knew my fiancé wouldn't come with. The parking lot was packed! The poor valet kid, was one guy by himself, with cars so backed up and blocked in, all empty AND running. I would hate to know my car was running in a parking lot for my entire meal. I self- parked way up on a hill in mulch. The walk wasn't too bad, but I drive an SUV and technically wasn't even in a real spot.
The place is breathtaking with bright modern decor. I explored around a little bit. The party room is gorgeous. The lawn is gorgeous. No detail was spared in the architectural or landscaping design.
I sat myself at the bar and waited a good five minutes to be acknowledged by a bartender only for her to ask me "what I want" without even offering me a menu. When I did receive a menu, another 10 minutes went by before she came over to take my drink order. Although she was friendly to me, she was extremely rude to her fellow staff, in front of me, which I thought was unprofessional. They all just seemed to be barking orders at each other, but not in a productive way.
The menu looks amazing, but the prizes are pretty up there. Appetizers range up into the $20 bracket, and entrees are into the $40's! I will admit I was a tad sticker shocked and expecting more winery "type" pricing. I really wanted the cheese board but couldn't justify $21 for it for myself.
I ordered the scallops for my meal. The food didn't take long to arrive but when it did I didn't have any silverware. I asked the bartender for silverware and she said "what do you need it for", in which I replied, "to eat with". Her response was, "well do you need a fork, or a spoon, I don't know"
To which I confusedly said, "all of it? I need a knife and napkin too"
2 more minutes pass with my food just sitting in front of me before she returns with a rollup.
The scallops were good. Big, jumbo scallops, cooked perfectly, but served with an itty bitty side of gnocchi. For a $35 entree I'm sure you can afford to put a few more gnocchi on the plate.
I'm giving it two stars for now because there is a lot lacking, but I would love to come back in a few months and try again to see if it is just opening hiccups.
