  • We were in the market for a Scion XB. My nephew has one and I like the way it drives, the style, the gas mileage and the price. My husband and I did extensive research on the Internet prior to buying a 2014. We thought we wanted to buy a used vehicle but after we went to AutoNation and met with Brad, we decided to buy new. Brad gave us a price which we thought was good but wanted to check out other auto dealers. We left the dealership with no pressure from Brad. After spending 2 1/2 days speaking with other dealers and searching the Internet, we thought AutoNation was the best priced vehicle. We already had our financing in order with our bank, so we called Brad and he had the XB ready when we arrived to AutoNation. Signing the contract was painless and after we were done, Brad spent a good time with us showing how to operate the vehicle and the Bluetooth. The only issue we had was that it was not explained to us that there is a Scion Boost which is a two year or 25,000 mile oil change, tire rotation and towing service that comes with newly purchased vehicles. We even asked Brad if it came with a maintenance plan or towing service because my nephew told me it came with one. But Brad said no. When we came home with the vehicle, my nephew took a look at it and told us again that it came with Scion Boost. We looked it up on the website and sure enough it comes standard even with a newly purchased Toyota. So we are quite baffled why Brad said there was no maintenance plan or towing coverage. Probably because they tried to sell us another $1,600 maintenance plan. Even Charles in financing didn't mention the Scion Boost. When Brad said there was no towing coverage we told him we had AAA coverage so towing service would be not be a problem so I know we had discussed this question with him. After reading reviews of their service center, perhaps they just don't want to be inundated with new vehicles only needing oil changes since they can't charge over and above. In addition, maybe they were trying to push their expensive maintenance plan. Overall, we love our Scion XB and we got a great price. Brad was still a very nice sales person to work with.
