| - Trust me. If you want to get the most of this slamming view, grills, picnic tables and more, you need to come with people that know how to cook and light up the Weber. Honestly, I think my experience may have been colored delicious by the amazing eats I had (none of which I cooked!), but regardless, one bonus of this park is the fact that it does have several grill areas. On the website they actually call them "picnic ramadas." Now, that's fancy, and did I mention the mountain vista?
Hey, it's that part of town, so you know the facilities are nice. The large, flat green area for playing soccer or having a good round of football tossing is hidden, and we didn't find it. But, rumor is it does exist! However, we did see a playground, a couple of lighted tennis courts, and one nicely kept half-basketball court.
It wasn't busy at all either, but that might have been because of the torrential rains and lightning that hit in the middle of our soiree. Still, it passed, and we were able to carry on.
I would definitely add this to your short list of picnic spots.
