  • I just came home with my 12 year old son minus his appendix and I am absolutely thrilled with the care he received from each and every person whom we met. From Tennille the RN in Pediatric ER to Kathleen and Jocelyn in after surgery care, we were treated kindly, my son was spoken to like a person and not as if he was an idiot and every step was explained thoroughly. Special mention to Dr. David Smith in the Peds ER, Dr. Fiori the pediatric Surgeon and Dr. Kim the pediatric Anesthesiologist. Each time we moved to a different section (ER to pre op to post op, etc.) the attending nurse or physician was completely familiar with our case and spoke to my son as if they had been with him all day. As for me, I am always freezing and probably 5 people asked me if I would like a heated blanket to put around my shoulders! Maybe it was my blue lips that was signaling something but it was very nice that they were as concerned about my welfare as they were about my son. Even the food in the cafeteria was pretty good. Great hospital!!!
