| - The New England Clam Chowder in a baby bread bowl, $6 and with the cold wet weather this evening, my thoughts took me to Boudin's in SF. Now if only there was a fire and maybe the sounds of a blues band.
The small plate menu suits me. I order up the Charcuterie Board of Creminelli Wild Boar Salami, barolo salami, sopressata prosciutto, with a toasted baguette, garnished with a variety of wonderful olives. $13. We shared one more plate of their grilled taro tacos full of vegetables topped with avocado salsa. $12.
The occasion called for a bottle of red Exem Bordeaux. This bottle is French, and is a bit rare since this wine is a new style of Bordeaux. Excellent rich aromas of dark fruit.$27.
I understand Chef Stacy is planning on hosting tastings for her wines, that will be superfun, plus looking forward to sample the good beers in the coming rotations. Then there are the deserts which include butter pecan goat cheese cake, mascarpone strawberries, and assorted homemade marshmallows.
Well Done Chef and Happy New Year.
