  • I don't even know where to begin. I moved in here being the first handful of people who were the first to live in the building (I was the first occupant of the 20th floor). It was built well, barely any noise from the airplanes, music or light rail in the first apartment I lived in. It faced south and while the day view is a dump, the night view is pretty with all the lights. After living there a few years i moved into a small apartment facing northeast. I downsized because despite living there so long they just kept raising my rent and not offering any incentives. As soon as I signed my new lease they offered a free month to new residents. So they really just care about new residents and not long time ones. I had a dishwasher and microwave break in my first apartment, it took about two weeks to get them replaced. Odd for an apartment that was BRAND NEW. I also had to get a new water heater which took maybe 4-5 days and I was never notified when the work was completed. The hallways could be a mess and the trash room could be smelt from the other side of the hall. Once I moved to the other apartment it was MISERABLE. Loud music nonstop from Lustre and the nightclub across the street. I'm a nurse so I go to bed early on the weekends when I have to work and it was intolerable. I truly wish I would've been warned before changing apartments. As for the amenities, very nice. Doorman (Joseph was my favorite), Travis was also amazing, jasmine was great too. I don't have anything nice to say about the new office manager or the receptionist so we will keep it as that. Pool was nice, great gym although there were often times equipment did not work. The gym used to be 24hrs then they posted fixed hours. I get people slammed weights and it was loud but the hours weren't great for people who had to work by 7am. Parking, such a damn nightmare. Who wants to pay $100 a month for a parking spot then have to wait 10-20 min to get in to the garage to park in their spot? Not me. Let alone if someone isn't parked in your spot. Oh they are? Well don't worry, they won't tow them. You can go drive around the garage and find an empty one. Guest parking, oh they have to pay. Used to validate, but not any longer. Worst of all, when I moved out BIGGER nightmare. I broke my lease because I bought a house and I got someone to take over my lease. Come to find out in the overnight hours someone miraculously rented out my apartment and qualified for it in an instant (weird, I know. Usually credit/background checks take at least an hour). After much fighting and writing letters to the Alliance manager Tina Roud and cityscape manager Kelly I paid one month rent to break my lease. Then I got a bill for utilities where they misbilled stuff I paid when I broke my lease (double billed). Contacted once a week up until it had been two months and no response. The lady named Aubrey told me "I'll reach out to you when I hear anything, I appreciate your patience." So weeks went by and even months. I moved out May 31 and got a bill Sept 14. I then got a bill TWO WEEKS later saying they sent numerous messages and notifications and they are sending the bill to collections if it is not paid in the next 4 days. The way they handle business is so disorganized. The office would rather sign a new lease then keep the longer clients happy. I miss the old staff and the ambience of the building but moving out created a nightmare I would never rent from Alliance again.
